Robert Balboa, Jr. is an operative for Trinity Advancements, voiced by Revoltge. He is shown meeting with Pathfinder at Relic Base in Overture.

Personality

Not much is known about Balboa, though he is a big fan of Taco Tuesday.

Role in Plot

Events of Season 1

He first appears in Overture as Pathfinder arrives to Trinity Advancements's Relic Base as he inquires about the blood sample she was instructed to take. After Pathfinder's responses are short, Balboa asks if she has a problem with him before dismissing the conversation when she doesn't respond, citing their need to return inside the facility.

Events of Rat's Nest

Balboa appears in Curtain Call...Encore!, encounter Pathfinder at Relic Base with an unconscious Raven Carmine. Balboa expresses confusion at this, but ultimately calls onto Forge to let the pair inside. When Forge opens the entrance, a disoriented Carmine awakens. Balboa then asks where she thinks she is, prompting Carmine to suggest she's at a UNSC med bay before expressing confusion over her survival after being shot in the throat. Balboa goes along with this as a lie before entering Relic Base.

Trivia

  • He was supposed to debut in Invader, but due to Revoltge being unable to perform the lines in time (having recorded those for Overture first), the scene was rewritten to include Forge in his place.
  • His name is an ironic reference to the protagonist of the same name in the 1976 film Rocky who works out regularly and is referred to as the film's title while Balboa is out of shape.
