Fireteam Cosmo is a combat and intelligence unit of SPARTAN-IV supersoldiers of the UNSC. They served directly Ignacio Dominguez and Randy DeLuca of SAFE.

Role in Plot

Events of Season 1

Alana Reynolds and Louie Vargas first appear in Stashed, preparing a newly-built batch of robots built for Outpost High Ground. Alana is then reassigned by Ignacio Dominguez to instead pick up Geff Rodrigo and the guards of Outpost Black Out to transfer them to Trinity Advancements as a new "private security team" while Louie continues to High Ground alone.

During Overture, on High Ground, Louie and the robots are killed by a group of space pirates while Alana is killed by an unknown attacker wearing familiar armor.

Events of Rat's Nest

Before the events of Stashed, during Showstopper, Damien Wilson is sent to Outpost Rat's Nest for a routine vehicle inspection before being informed by its captain that the guards there had a mysterious ODST held captive. Damien asks where this ODST is being held before being shot in the head by him, killing Damien instantly. Later, in Curtain Call...Encore!, Damien's death is investigated by Emily Vega and later the Brigadier with no answers from the guards of Rat's Nest about the circumstances leading up to his death.

Events of Red Line

While conversing with her old friend Pidge Emmel of Red Line, in OFF_THE_RECORD_DO_NOT_UPLOAD, Matilda Fern complains about having prepared a cover story for Chaplin Times before it was abruptly cancelled as she was preparing to interview Damien. Rather than explain Damien's death, SAFE instead threatened to speak with Fern's employers which led to her abandoning the story. Emmel speculates Damien and the rogue ODST could be one in the same before being dismissed by Fern who simply wanted to vent.
