Commander Randall "Randy" DeLuca for short, is an intelligence officer who is the lead analyst for SAFE, voiced by ethanchaotic. He works directly under Ignacio Dominguez aboard the UNSC Cosmo, acting as his second-in-command.
Personality
Randy is a dedicated and loyal member of the UNSC. He cares deeply for his job within the SAFE aboard the UNSC Cosmo.
Role in Plot
Events of Season 1
In HQ, after Ignacio snaps at him for Geff calling him directly, Randy explains that he never agreed to block Outpost Black Out's number. Randy later sympathizes with Geff, noting that Outpost Black Out is one of their most unproductive outposts. Sometime later, in Replacement, Ignacio discloses to Randy that one of the UNSC's partners, Trinity Advancements, has requested the discharge of Geff. After a back and forth, Randy is ordered by his boss to negotiate the transfer of all the soldiers of the outpost in addition to Geff.
Events of Rat's Nest
Randy is called upon by Detective Emily Vega during Curtain Call...Encore!, being given a status update for the ongoing investigation into an incident on Outpost Rat's Nest. After an increasingly tense back and forth, Randy informs Vega that she need not to worry about the case any longer as he is instead sending in a "seasoned professional" in her stead.
Events of Red Line
In The Robotics Initiative, Randy invites Pidge Emmel and Fawkes McShane of Red Line to interview him without the knowledge of his superior. During this sit down, Randy plays coy about Emmel and McShane's line of questioning before growing frustrating and cutting the interview short to send the pair out.
Classic
The original incarnation of Randy who appeared in WarGames and Classic Season 2 before the series continuity was rebooted with Season 1. He was voiced by ethanchaotic.
