- Primal is revealed to have been hired by Trinity Advancements in this episode.
- The name of Trinity's co-founder first mentioned in Replacement is revealed in this episode, being Raquel Rodrigo.
- Forge is revealed to be a robot, after being heard in Invader. jaxbeetle reprises their role from the director's cut of Season 1.
- Carmine is revealed to have survived from being shot by Trooper in the previous episode, given a "healing salve" by Pathfinder.
- Molotov and Cocktail are revealed to be working for Trinity Advancements, after having swept Outpost Black Out in the post-credits of the Season 1 director's cut. Revoltge and Annie reprise their roles as Molotov and Cocktail respectively.
- The post-credits scene takes place after the events of Retrograde, with Trooper having mentioned Outpost Rat's Nest being his next destination in that episode.
- The music cues in the flashfoward scene are more faithful rearrangements of the tunes Revoltge composed for Guard Duty Classic.
- Corvus is shown to have continued following Trooper and the Black Out Guards since Outpost High Ground, killing the SAFE soldiers stationed there. Natasha reprises her role from the director's cut of Season 1.
- The song Corvus hums is We'll Meet Again by Vera Lynn, which is the song that Trooper sang to the guards upon his reintroduction in the penultimate episode of Classic Season 2.
- Frakes and Rocko's dynamic was inspired by the dynamic of Presley and Barlowe from jaxbeetle's upcoming series Nine to Five, with J.C. Bourne cast as Frakes to act off of her Nine to Five co-star CaramelizedChaos as Rocko.
- The flashforward post-credits scene is a direct reference to Infinity, the finale of Classic Season 1, in which the guards briefly visit Outpost Rat's Nest before it is swiftly blown up by Trooper.
- Ignacio Dominguez, Alana Reynolds, and Louie Vargas were all originally going to appear, having been included in various early stages of the script, before ultimately being cut in favor of including Carmine's fate as well as Balboa, Forge, and Pathfinder.
- Randy and Vega's exchange was originally going to take place on the UNSC Cosmo with Ignacio and Vega, with the scene's setting being changed to Outpost Bird's Eye and Ignacio being changed to Randy.
- Randy mentions that Primal was a hitman contracted by Raquel Rodrigo, said to be Trinity's co-founder. Molotov mentions his and Cocktail's presence as being on behalf of "Mother Trinity", referring to Trinity Advancements. Valentine additionally mentions that Primal was hired by Trinity, to which Cocktail confirms by referring to Primal as her "vanilla comrade". As Primal mentions he and Trooper both being employed by someone known as the "Operator" in The Last Dance, this figure revealed to be Raquel Rodrigo.
