Trivia

  • His name comes from a scrapped character for an unproduced reboot of Guard Duty that was written in 2014, intended to replace June Vega in the main cast. Here, he was to use the color scheme of Diego Jones from Major Malfunction and wear an ODST helmet. Regardless, his last name is never stated in-series.
  • Due to a glitch within The Master Chief Collection, Dino has the built-in default emblem on his shoulder pad in Elsewhere.
  • When he was reintroduced into the modern series continuity, HegelBagel was cast in Syp's place due to Syp wanting the character to feel more memorable. Additionally, he wears the Mark VI armor set rather than wear an ODST helmet as his Classic counterpart did.
  • He appears in the expanded mid-credits scene of the Season 1 director's cut, explaining to Denise Rocko about what had happened to him and his two squad mates.
