Sangheili are a sapient species with a reptilian appearance. Members of this species first appear in WarGames as members of The Damned, though were first mentioned in Paranoia by June Vega and Sarah Daws as the reason for humanity's survival during the Invasion War because of their unexpected alliance toward the end of it.

Trivia

  • The alliance between humanity and the Sangheili at the end of the war discussed in Paranoia also happens within the Halo video games, in which Guard Duty is based, occurring between the events of Halo 2 and Halo 3.
  • This species originated in the Halo video games, where they play a similar antagonistic role in most games with some exceptions such as Halo 3 where Guard Duty is filmed within.
