The Damned is a clan of raiders who first appear in Invader, where a group led by Corvus attempted to take control of Outpost High Ground. Corvus ends up the only survivor after a sudden appearance from a mysterious teal soldier had led to the deaths of her comrades Kazi, Fazeka, and Riel in which she narrowly escaped.

- The Damned were largely based on The Banished, the main antagonistic faction of Halo Wars 2 and Halo Infinite, such as the steel/red color scheme as well as their disdain for the prior antagonists of the Halo games, the Covenant. However, The Banished did not follow any sort of god nor did they disallow humans. In this regard, the Damned is more similar the Covenant despite its disdain.
- The ranking structure of The Damned is the same as that of The Banished as well.
- When they debuted in WarGames, they claimed to believe in an ancient Forerunner "goddess" known as Starbreaker, with an anti-human prejudice. This aspect was dropped when the series continuity was reset with Season 1.
