- This outpost was named after the Halo 3 map it uses, Icebox, included in Halo: The Master Chief Collection's version of the game.
- In Classic Season 2, Suave mentions Ice Box being sold to Trinity Advancements with the expectation that his subordinates would be eliminated. Why he thought this is unknown.
