Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries and released in 2014. It is a compilation of every single major Halo video game released prior to Halo 5: Guardians, with the exception of Halo Wars and its sequel. It is also referred to as Halo MCC as shorthand. Series creator Syp The Mighty has used Halo MCC for Guard Duty since the production of Elsewhere, the fourth episode of its second season, after years of primarily using Halo.
