Outpost Rat's Nest is a military outpost that housed a satellite used to help the UNSC monitor the middle colonies. This is where Jace Casper was reassigned to after being attacked by Nicole Vega for calling her and Sarah Daws "bitchly". The guards of this outpost will feature in the prequel miniseries Rat's Nest, sometime after Season 1 completes production.

Trivia
- This outpost was named after the Halo 3 map it uses, Rat's Nest.
- In Classic Season 1, Emery Eden shows great disdain for this outpost and destroys it.
- While it is mentioned twice in Season 1, during Replacement and Retrograde, it does not appear at all due to its planned inclusion in its own eponymous miniseries.
