Sergeant Louie Vargas is a SPARTAN-IV supersoldier who work under Ignacio Dominguez, voiced by Syp The Mighty.

Personality

Louie is a jovial man who is very loyal to the UNSC, though they do end up using him as bait to lure out the attackers of Outpost High Ground.

Role in Plot

Events of Season 1

In Team Cosmo!, Louie and Alana Reynolds observe the video message left by a now-deceased Damien Wilson before Alana comments to Randy DeLuca that she did in fact notice his new backpack. Randy swiftly dismisses her and mopes as he walks away, leading Louie to ask Alana what Randy's problem was before Alana dismisses him. Later, in Stashed, he is assisted by Alana Reynolds in retrieving five color-coded training robots to be retrofitted for a mission on Outpost High Ground before Ignacio calls Alana to his office over the intercom. Louie wishes her luck, albeit sarcastically, before she leaves him.

Role in Plot

Events of WarGames

In Upgrade, the second episode of WarGames, he is assigned by Ignacio to lead a group of retrofitted training robots to investigate a distress call from Outpost High Ground, believing it to be a revival of The Flood. However, in Deception, he discovers he had been set up by the UNSC to act as bait for the Flood. Before he could react, he is shot in the head by Corvus. In Ambush, his body is found by Emery Eden after the latter's own attack on Outpost High Ground, who ends up stealing Louie's chest plate to complete his armor set. Ignacio and Randy later discuss his death, which had helped them discover the existence of The Damned.
