Robot was an android sent to repair the fax machine on Outpost Black Out before she short-circuited and attacked Miller.

Role in Plot

Events of Season 1

In Machine, Robot arrives on Outpost Black Out to fix the fax machine. However, after Mitchell Miller refers to her as a "bucket of bolts," Robot malfunctioned and attacked him. After hitting Miller many times, Robot was attacked and deactivated by Nicole Vega. In Replacement, it's revealed that this robot was intentionally sent by Ignacio Dominguez knowing it was defective. She later appears in Invader, still deactivated, as Sarah Daws decides to use her helmet to replace June Vega's broken one.

After the guards' departure, an error-exclaiming Robot is discovered by Cocktail noting it to be hers and her brother's first lead in finding a target.

Trivia

  • She shares her voice and helmet with Pink.
  • Her design is largely based on June Vega's design in Classic Season 1 with the Mark V helmet, CQB chest plate, and Mark VI shoulder pads.
    • Sarah Daws and Nicole Vega would end up using Robot's helmet to replace June's defective Mark VI one, with a robotic skeletal face revealed underneath.
  • A robot character was always intended to be introduced during early plans for Classic Season 2, as well as the production of Annoyances when the series was almost rebooted. This would not come into fruition until twelve years later in Season 1 when Syp and Revoltge were writing Fax and Machine to establish where June's Mark V helmet would come from, which she gains in Invader thanks to Sarah and Nicole.
  • To represent Robot's face underneath her helmet, EprothStudios suggested to Syp about using a modified helmet from The Master Chief Collection to represent it after Syp initially was going to photoshop an image from the 1984 film The Terminator. That film is also directly referenced in the episode in which Robot's face appears.
  • Robot, Sarah, and Nicole are the first characters to be animated outside of the Halo 3 game engine, being featured in an animated sequence during Invader.
