Outpost Black Out is a military outpost that acts as the main setting of Guard Duty. The soldiers stationed here report to the UNSC Cosmo.

Trivia

  • This outpost was named after the Halo 3 map it uses, Blackout. As for why series creator Syp The Mighty chose this map in the first place, she believed it would give the show a unique feel to always be set at night.
  • Syp chose the Halo 2 map Lockout to represent this outpost in the past because it's the precursor to Blackout, the map used for this outpost in Halo 3.
    • According to Miller in Memo Chat, this outpost was previously named "Outpost Lock Out" in reference to this.
  • While it was destroyed in the Classic continuity, it is unknown if it will have the same fate in the main series.
