• This episode features a widescreen format, with Syp intending for it to have a cinematic feel. However, due to dropping this with the following episode, she would later end up adjusting the aspect ratio for the movie edit release of Classic Season 1 to match the rest of that season.
• This is the first appearance of Miller, the Captain of Outpost Black Out.
• June's comment about Geff calling command "343 times" is a reference to 343 Industries, the studio that had just taken over the Halo franchise when this episode released.
• Elements of this episode would later be incorporated into HQ and Fax.
