Echoes is the upcoming second season of Guard Duty. It will be directed by Syp The Mighty from a screenplay she is writing with jaxbeetle and Revoltge. Its development was formally announced in Stay Tuned, set to enter production after Rat's Nest.

- This season and its subtitle was announced in Stay Tuned, a fourth-wall breaking Sides episode produced upon the end of Season 1. Writing for the season began during the end of Rat's Nest's production, with jaxbeetle joining Syp The Mighty as co-writer with additional writing by Revoltge. It was announced through the Spite Box Discord server that the entire cast of Season 1 and Rat's Nest would reprise their roles for Echoes.
- This season was originally announced to be a director's cut of Classic Season 2 in Coming Soon, another fourth-wall breaking Sides episode from the Classic era. This was changed during the development of Season 1, when Syp made the decision to reset the series continuity.
- While it will include elements of Classic Season 2, this season will instead tell a new and more expansive story.
