Annoyances was the intended first episode to an unproduced reboot of Guard Duty and retroactively the second episode of Guard Duty Sides.

  • This episode was intended to be the start of a Guard Duty reboot series to be released by Firelight Studios, a group that Syp The Mighty was a member of. Revoltge joined Syp in writing this episode and would compose the music for it and potential future episodes, which would later be used in WarGames and Classic Season 2.
    • Eleven years later, Revoltge would rejoin Syp to co-write the series overall beginning with Dare.
  • This is the last episode to feature Chase Hobby as the voice of Miller, with James Brown Jr. filling in for Miller's following appearance before Syp herself took over the role in Clueless.
  • This is also the last episode to feature Firesinopa as the voice of Nicole, as Xanthe Folan would take over the role in Reactionary. Firesinopa would later be cast as Felicity Benes in Season 1.
  • When this episode was re-released on the Spite Box channel in 2017, some jokes and scenes were cut for unknown reasons. These were restored in the At The Movies re-release of Classic Season 1.
