Events of Rat's Nest
Detective Vega first appears in Curtain Call...Encore!, where she interrogates the guards of Outpost Rat's Nest after their encounter with an assassin. They claim that their captain worked with this assassin to kill Damien Wilson and steal his armor, to a doubtful Vega. After, Vega called Randy DeLuca to her surprise until he began questioning her about the status of the investigation. Due to Vega not gathering enough results for his liking, DeLuca took Vega off the case and replaced her with the Brigadier.
