Guard Duty: Season 1 is the first major installment in the Guard Duty series, airing since December 22, 2023. Set on the seemingly pointless Outpost Black Out, Season 1 introduces soldier Geff Rodrigo as he tries to stay positive despite his growing disillusionment with his role in the UNSC and his fellow soldiers stationed at the same outpost.

It is a reimagining of Classic Season 1, retelling that story in a more expansive way with the voice cast of Classic Season 2 reprising their roles.

• During development, this season was referred to as Guard Duty: Anniversary, in reference to the remakes of Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo, both subtitled Aniversary.
