Annoyances was the intended first episode to an unproduced reboot of Guard Duty and retroactively the second episode of Guard Duty Sides.

Trivia

• This episode was intended to be the start of a Guard Duty reboot series by Syp The Mighty and Revoltge, originally released in 2012 by the machinima collective Firelight Studios as a pilot before Syp left the group shortly afterward. Revoltge would rejoin Syp to co-write the series overall beginning with Dare, over ten years later.
• Revoltge's music that was composed for this and potential followup episodes would later be used in WarGames and Classic Season 2.
• This is the last episode to feature Chase Hobby as the voice of Miller, with James Brown Jr. filling in for Miller's following appearance before Syp herself took over the role in Clueless.
• This is also the last episode to feature Firesinopa as the voice of Nicole, as Xanthe Folan would take over the role in Reactionary. Firesinopa would later be cast as Felicity Benes in Season 1.
• When this episode was re-released on the Spite Box channel in 2017, some jokes and scenes were cut for unknown reasons. These were restored in the At The Movies re-release of Classic Season 1.
