Classic Season 2
Classic Season 2 is the second installment in the Guard Duty series, airing from April 9, 2022 until July 31, 2023. It was written and directed by Syp The Mighty, with Revoltge joining her to co-write its season finale. While Syp provided the music for the first three episodes for this season as well as its intro/outro themes, Revoltge returned as the primary composer beginning with Elsewhere, its fourth episode, after having done so in the first season's Sides episodes.
Upon its conclusion, Syp and Revoltge announced a reimagining of this season was in development and that it would be produced after Season 1, a reimagining of Classic Season 1, and Rat's Nest. The movie edit of this season aired on August 11, 2023, eleven days after it concluded. Elements of this season were later incorporated into Season 1, such as select characters and plot points.

Trivia
- Syp The Mighty, Intro-Mind, and Revoltge are the only cast members to return from Classic Season 1, though Intro-Mind takes over as Geff from Syp rather than his previous role.
- This season introduces Ella Rhee and Xanthe Folan to the cast as Sarah and Nicole respectively, taking over from Winter and Firesinopa, while Syp takes over as Miller from Chase Hobby.
- After the end of Classic Season 1, two different versions of Classic Season 2 were considered. These include:
- A version filmed in the Halo 4 engine where the guards legitimately did become SPARTAN-IV supersoldiers, with Geff and June still tasked with being on guard duty while Sarah and Nicole would have been given legitimate operations as effective soldiers. Miller would partake in both ends depending on the situation. Emery was not going to return. This version was only outlined, with no episodes written due to complications with filming.
- A version where Emery crash lands on an alien planet, split from the guards. Stranded, the guards would have to find a way off the planet. Two episodes were written for this version before Syp joined Firelight Studios and scrapped it to develop Annoyances with Revoltge. This version would have continued to use Halo 3 rather than switch to Halo 4. Elements of this version would later end up in Dare, this season's finale, such as the alien planet now being where Sarah and Nicole crash land after stealing Emery's pelican during the events of that episode.
