The United Nations Space Command, often abbreviated to UNSC, is the military, exploratory, and scientific agency of the Unified Earth Government who operates HQ and the SAFE Program.

SAFE Program

SAFE (Secure Action For Everyone) is a program involving defunct military outposts being converted to satellites that can monitor multiple planets within a certain radius in order to maintain control over the outer colonies, with the UNSC justifying it as a security measure. HQ acts as its communications center, with Commander Ignacio Dominguez overseeing the entire operation on the wider UNSC's behalf. Many of the UNSC's non-essential personnel are sent to these outposts to serve as guards.

Other Divisions

  • Spartan Program - A government program that created several supersoldiers for the UNSC, including the Brigadier and Louie Vargas.
  • Orbital Drop Shock Troopers - Also known as ODST, elite soldiers who are dropped from the sky.
  • Marines - The soldiers of the UNSC.
