Guard Duty: Classic Season 1 is the original first major installment in the Guard Duty series, originally airing from January 5, 2012 until June 23, 2012. It was written and directed by Syp The Mighty. In addition to the original series pilot from November 21, 2011, three episodes that aired from October 22, 2012 until June 13, 2013 were retroactively considered the first season's portion of Guard Duty Sides. One of these episodes, Annoyances, was co-written and composed by Revoltge, the voice of Emery Eden.
The movie edit of this season was released on April 29, 2022, over ten years after it ended, and included the three Sides episodes produced at the time. In 2023, a full remake of this season with all new voice recordings and scenes was produced as part of Guard Duty: Anniversary, first announced in Coming Soon.

Trivia
- While Intro-Mind does voice in this season, he would not be cast as Geff until the original second season. Instead, he briefly voices Alana in The Transfer.
- This season, and the side episodes that accompanied it, is the only Guard Duty series in which Intro-Mind, Ella Rhee, and Xanthe Folan do not voice Geff, Sarah, and Nicole respectively, due to not being cast at the time of its production.
- This is the only season in which June is referred to as Josh, as it was produced prior to her voice actor and series creator Syp's transition.
