Annoyances was the intended first episode to an unproduced reboot of Guard Duty and retroactively the second episode of Guard Duty Sides.

Syp would be joined by Revoltge to write this episode, with Revoltge even composing original music for it.
- This is the first episode to be co-written by Revoltge, who voices Emery Eden. Eleven years later, Revoltge would rejoin Syp to co-write the series overall beginning with Dare.

- This is the last episode to feature Chase Hobby as the voice of Miller, with James Brown Jr. filling in for Miller's following appearance before Syp herself took over the role in Clueless.
