It is unknown why Prim and Emery work together despite their obvious disdain for one another.
He was designed by Syp's brother Primal, whom he is also named after.
When Primal came up with Prim's appearance, he was originally all white. Series creator Syp The Mighty would add Teal as a secondary color to make Prim's color scheme an inverse of Emery Eden (Classic).
During the production of Paranoia, Prim was intended to be alive and act as the main villain of Classic Season 2. This was changed upon Revoltge rejoining the series as Emery Eden (Classic), whose role was expanded from his initial appearance in Infinity and would be reintroduced in the following episode. Because Paranoia had already aired, Prim was added to Elsewhere during filming as both Syp and Revoltge came up with the idea of Prim being a ghost haunting Emery. This would later be revealed in Truth, the penultimate episode of the season.
When Prim was going to be the main villain, Syp or Primal were going to voice him. This was changed upon Revoltge's return as Emery Eden, with Syp casting her close good friend TheIdsStudios instead.
While only considered to be a minor character by Syp and Revoltge during the production of Classic Season 2, Prim's presence has increased due to his association with Emery.
