Trivia

  • This episode introduces Blankslate_GG as the voice of Miller, taking over from Syp The Mighty.
  • It's revealed that the guards of Outpost Black Out had been stationed for a year prior to Geff's arrival, and given Geff stated he'd been there for three years in HQ (episode), it can be assumed that the guards have been on Outpost Black Out for at least four years.
  • The Halo engine returns in this episode, used for its opening flashback set four years prior to the events of the series.
  • Jace's color scheme is a mirror to Geff's color scheme, being red/white to Geff's blue/white.
  • Jace was originally going to be a character to replace June in an unrealized reboot of Guard Duty in 2013, with Syp still voicing the character. This was scrapped, but Syp still wanted to incorporate the character into this series somehow.
  • Jace's personality was based on the original version of Cayde Jasper during the production of Major Malfunction prior to that character being scrapped, hence their similar names.
  • Ignacio informs Randy that Trinity is requesting the discharge of Geff, with Trinity being considered an important partner to the UNSC.
  • The repair robot from the previous episode is revealed to have been sent by Ignacio, knowing it was defective with the intent on it killing the guards of Outpost Black Out.
