Revision as of 10:00, 19 January 2025

Season 1 is the first season Guard Duty Classic, airing from January 5, 2012 until June 23, 2012. It was written and directed by Syp The Mighty, with Revoltge co-directing its finale.
Along with the original series pilot from 2011, three episodes that aired from late 2012 until 2013 were retroactively considered this season's portion of Guard Duty Sides in 2022. These episodes were included in the season's At The Movies re-release that premiered on April 29, 2022, nearly ten years after it ended.
Season 1 is an expanded remake of this season, with select cast members from this season returning in new roles.

Trivia
- While Intro-Mind does voice in this season, he would not be cast as Geff until the original second season. Instead, he briefly voices Alana in The Transfer.
- This season, and the Sides episodes that accompanied it, is the only Guard Duty season in which Intro-Mind, Ella Rhee, and Xanthe Folan do not voice Geff, Sarah, and Nicole respectively, due to not being cast at the time of its production.
- This is also the only season in which June is referred to as Josh, as she comes out as a trans woman in the first episode of Classic Season 2.
- Syp The Mighty was largely inspired by the Halo-based machinima web series Red vs. Blue when she was making this season, and largely made up the story as each episode was made.
- This season's cliffhanger was planned to lead into a followup using the then-upcoming Halo 4 engine, though this never happened.
